707 Hair Studios - Chicago, IL

The industrial Chic: Perpetuum Designs in collaboration with 707 Hair Studios.

This partnership has resulted in the transformation of a mere white box space into a salon oasis that seamlessly blends industrial aesthetics with warm, inviting elements.

The project, which involved a complete buildout, aimed to accommodate 12 stations, 5 wash-bowls, and 5 hair dryers while infusing the space with an industrial design ethos. The challenge was to merge raw architectural elements with custom-made furniture, ensuring that the structural integrity of the building remained an integral part of the overall decor.

Drawing inspiration from industrial landscapes, Perpetuum Designs opted for raw concrete floors, exposed brick walls, and high open ceilings to establish the foundation of the space. These elements not only integrate the urban charm but also provide a canvas for the warmth of the design to unfold.

To soften the industrial edges, the design team incorporated warm, custom-made furniture pieces that complemented the rugged surroundings. The result is a space that feels both sophisticated and approachable, inviting clients to relax and unwind while enjoying the salon experience.

One of the standout features of the design is a towering 12-foot mural that commands attention as soon as one enters the space. Positioned strategically, the mural adds an artistic focal point, with its dynamic composition revealing new perspectives from different angles.

Moreover, the inclusion of plants and artisanal decor pieces adds a touch of homeliness to the salon, creating an ambiance reminiscent of stepping into a friend's cozy living room. These subtle touches elevate the client experience, making each visit to 707 Hair Studios a memorable journey.

With its industrial chic aesthetic and inviting ambiance, the new 707 Hair Studios sets a new standard for salon design, proving that beauty truly begins with thoughtful design.
