In any design process, the process starts by setting up an appointment with the client and getting acquainted with the space:

The following steps will be planned to understand the client’s style and define what the space needs.
The projects start with a mood board, portraying different elements and styles that will be later integrated in the design phase. We also brainstorm through ideas that will complement the functionality of the space.
The FF&E (furniture, fixtures and equipment) selection begins from the second meeting, where the mood board is presented and along with the client’s remarks, we start making decisions together.
As design progresses to phase two, and moves closer to establishing the majority of defining elements, we encourage the client to schedule a meeting with the construction/installation team. The team will be provided with a project schedule along with a detailed breakdown of the project budget and time frames for completion of each milestone. Once all is approved, we move forward with material purchasing and construction.
As designers, flexibility is key when adjusting to different budget ranges and when going over in detail through each phase step by step. With each new space, there are specifics regarding the level of engagement: combining design services with purchasing and overseeing the project management - in which case we handle the logistics of shipping, receiving, quality control and installation.
