Three Cities Social - River North
As a custom interior design studio, our goal has always been to craft spaces that not only meet our clients' needs but also resonate with their aspirations and emotions. Our latest project exemplifies this philosophy, aiming to invoke joy, color, and the familiarity of social engagement.
A Comfortable and Familiar Feel: Creating a space that feels both comfortable and familiar requires a deep understanding of how people interact with their environment. For this project, we embraced an eclectic and modern aesthetic to soften the industrial core of the building. This approach allowed us to integrate the raw, structural elements with the warm, inviting features that foster a sense of belonging and ease.
The Eclectic Modern Blend: To achieve this balance, we focused on combining custom and modern elements. The eclectic style, known for its diverse and layered look, allows for a rich mix of textures, patterns, and colors. This was essential in bringing warmth and personality to the industrial backdrop, which can often feel stark and impersonal. By incorporating modern design principles, we ensured that the space remained cohesive and visually appealing, with clean lines and functional layouts.
Customized Elements: Wallpaper, Art, Drapery, and Lighting: Every detail in this space was carefully considered to contribute to the overall mood and aesthetic. We began with customized wallpaper, which served as a vibrant foundation for each room. The patterns and colors were selected to evoke a sense of joy and energy, transforming blank walls into engaging visual stories.
Art played a crucial role in adding character and depth. We designed most of the art ourselves to create pieces that not only complemented the space but also reflected the community's culture and spirit. These artworks became focal points in each room, drawing the eye and sparking conversation.
Drapery was chosen with the same level of care. We opted for fabrics that were both luxurious and durable, ensuring they could withstand the demands of a busy space while adding a touch of elegance. The drapery's colors and patterns were designed to harmonize with the wallpaper, furniture and art, creating a seamless flow throughout the rooms.
Lighting, often considered the unsung hero of interior design, was meticulously planned to enhance the ambiance. We used a mix of ambient and accent lighting to create layers of illumination that could be adjusted to suit different moods and activities white impressing through unique and fun design. The custom fixtures added a unique touch, becoming statement pieces in their own right.
Handpicked Furniture for Individuality and Comfort. The furniture selection was a critical aspect of our design process. Each piece was handpicked to ensure it aligned with our vision of a joyful, colorful, and socially engaging space. We sought out furniture that was not only aesthetically pleasing but also comfortable and functional, creating intimate nooks throughout the space.
A Diverse Range of Style: To maintain the eclectic feel, we chose a diverse range of styles, from mid-century modern to modern classics. This mix allowed us to create distinct areas within the space, each with its own personality while maintaining a cohesive overall design. The furniture's colors and materials were selected to complement the customized wallpaper, art, drapery, and lighting, ensuring a harmonious and inviting environment.
Comfort was paramount in our furniture choices. We selected pieces with plush seating, soft designs, and high-quality materials to provide a welcoming and relaxing experience for everyone who uses the space. Durability was also a key consideration, as the furniture needed to withstand frequent use while retaining its beauty and functionality.
Designing Each Room Individually: One of the hallmarks of this project was our approach to designing each room individually while stying in the focus of cohesiveness. We believe that every space should tell its own story and cater to its specific purpose. This meant taking the time to understand the unique requirements and possibilities of each room and tailoring our design choices accordingly.
Personalized Spaces: By customizing elements for each room, we were able to create personalized spaces that felt intimate and unique. Whether it was a cozy corner for quiet reflection or a vibrant area for lively gatherings, each room was designed to evoke specific emotions and support various activities.
Consistency in Diversity: While each room had its own distinct character, we maintained a consistent design language throughout the space. This was achieved by using a cohesive color palette, repeating certain patterns and textures, and ensuring a seamless transition between different areas. The result was a dynamic yet unified environment that encouraged exploration and interaction.
Perpetuum Designs is proud to say that the design of this space is a testament to our commitment to creating environments that invoke joy, color, and social engagement. Each room tells its own story, yet together they form a harmonious whole that invites people to connect, relax, and enjoy their surroundings. In this project, we have demonstrated that thoughtful design can transform any space into a vibrant and welcoming haven. We are proud of the work we have done and excited to see how this space will inspire and delight all who experience it.
